Product status and where it sells

What “Draft”, “On the site” and “Archived” mean, and how to put a product on the storefront.

Statuses

  • “Draft” — the product isn’t published and only you can see it. Every new product starts as a draft.
  • “On the site” — buyers can see the product.
  • “Archived” — the product is hidden from the store and lists, but not deleted.

You change the status on the product page, in the “Status” block.

Where it sells

The “Sold on” block on the product page shows where buyers can see it:

  • “Storefront” — turn it on and the product joins the storefront catalog with its own page. The switch works once the storefront exists.
  • “Landings” — the pages this product is on. You can create a new landing page from here too.
NOTE

The storefront only shows products that are “On the site”. A draft won’t appear there even if “Storefront” is on.

Working with the list

At the top of the list are the “All”, “On the site”, “Drafts” and “Archived” tabs, a search by name or SKU, and the “Category”, “Storefront” and “Not translated” filters.

Tick products and an action bar appears: “Publish”, “Move to drafts”, “Add to category”. Under “More actions” you’ll find “Add to storefront”, “Remove from storefront”, “Archive” and “Delete”.

DELETING

A product that already appears in orders isn’t deleted — it goes to “Archived” so the orders keep it. Everything else is deleted for good, with its photos and translations.
