AI agents: Claude and ChatGPT

Connect Claude

   Copy the server address

   “Settings” → “AI agents” → “Connect an agent”, choose Claude. Shopiforge shows the MCP server address with a “Copy” button, plus the steps below.

   Add a connector

   In Claude, open “Settings” → “Connectors” → “Add” → “Add custom connector”. Name — Shopiforge, address — the one you copied. Both claude.ai and the app work.

   Allow access

   Click “Connect” — a Shopiforge window opens. Choose the store and access level, then click “Connect Claude”.

   Write a task

   Claude asks before each tool — “Allow once” or “Always allow”.

Connect ChatGPT

   Copy the server address

   “Settings” → “AI agents” → “Connect an agent”, choose ChatGPT.

   Add the server

   In ChatGPT, open “Plugins” → “Add” → “Add custom MCP server”. Name — Shopiforge, authentication — OAuth, address — the one you copied. Developer mode isn’t needed.

   Allow access

   Tick “I understand…”, create the plugin and click “Connect Shopiforge”. In the Shopiforge window, choose the store and access level, then click “Connect ChatGPT”.

   Address it as @Shopiforge

   Type @ in the chat and pick Shopiforge — ChatGPT will then work with your store.

Access levels

• “View” — reads orders, catalog, pages and analytics. Changes nothing.
• “Manage” — like a manager: orders, catalog, pages and landing pages. Publishing needs your confirmation.
• “Full access” — everything in “Manage”, plus store settings.

What to ask for

• “Show me the new orders and what’s in them” — and then: change the status, add a note, create a Nova Poshta waybill.
• “Raise prices by 10% in the Beans category” — the agent shows old and new prices first.
• “Write descriptions for products that lack one” or “Create a product ‘Chemex’ for 2400” — new products start as drafts.
• “Make a landing page for the coffee grinder” — generation spends AI credits, and the page stays a draft.
• “Create a product from this link and build it a landing page” — ChatGPT builds it from the same brief and block plan as Shopiforge generation and writes the texts itself, without AI credits. Shopiforge draws the posters for credits if you agree.
• “Set up the storefront: categories, products with photos from these links, the menu and shipping” — the agent prepares it all as drafts and asks you before publishing the storefront.
• “Where did buyers come from this week, and which page converts worst?”

Confirmations

Publishing or rolling back the site, deleting products and pages, and changing more than 50 products or orders at once — the agent doesn’t do these on its own; it waits for your answer.

• Claude asks right in the chat.
• ChatGPT gives you a link to the request in Shopiforge: it shows exactly what will change, and you confirm or decline there.
• Every pending request is listed under “Settings” → “AI agents”, in “Waiting for your decision”.
• A request waits 10 minutes. No answer — nothing changes, and the agent can ask again.

AI credit limit

Landing generation spends credits from the store balance. To keep an agent from overspending, set a monthly limit: when connecting, or on the agent page under “Limits”. Once it hits the limit, the agent stops and tells you. An empty field means no limit.

What the agent did

Every change an agent makes goes to the “Activity log”, marked as the agent’s. Recent actions and requests also show under “Settings” → “AI agents”, in “Recent agent activity”.

Revoke access

Open the agent under “Settings” → “AI agents” and click “Revoke access” — it loses access to the store at once. To bring it back, connect it again. The same page changes the level, confirmations and limit — only the person who connected the agent can do that.
